New Relic is an American web tracking and analytics company based in San Francisco, California. Lew Cirne founded the company in 2008. New Relic offers a cloud-based solution for tracking software and hardware performance and user interactions on websites and mobile apps.

In October 2013, the company converted its software analytics product into a SaaS model. New Relic went public in December 2014. In July 2020, the company replaced its legacy products with a full-stack New Relic One platform to simplify pricing and adopted a consumption-based model in April 2021. In July 2023, TPG and Francisco Partners acquired New Relic in a $6.5 billion all-cash deal. New Relic became a private company after its acquisition. [1]

New Relic is a leading Application Performance Management (APM) solution that allows teams to monitor web and mobile apps in real-time. The company expanded its platform through acquisitions, including Pixie Labs in December 2020 and CodeStream in October 2021.

In February 2022, New Relic released infrastructure monitoring software. This solution helps DevOps, SREs, and IT operations (ITOps) monitor issues across public, private, and hybrid cloud.
